Toni Covarrubias delivered one of the Huskies' biggest hits of the season, a pinch-hit, two-out single to drive in two runs, giving ELAC a late 2-1 lead in a pitching duel. Nadine Gutierrez sat down the final six Mounties in order in the sixth and seventh innings to earn her 16th win.

East LA College Softball actually needed to come from behind twice. After falling behind 6-2 in the second inning, ELAC scored twice in the 5th inning, and three times in the sixth to retake the lead 7-6. PCC scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take back the lead 9-7 and was two outs away from their first conference win. The Huskies got a few breaks in the bottom of the seventh and scored three more runs for the 10-9 win.
